It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley BBFC Rating: (15)

  • Directed by Amy Berg
  • 2024 | 106mins | United States | BBFC Rating: (15)

Amy Berg’s arresting documentary examines the life of Jeff Buckley, and his accidental drowning in Wolf River Harbor, Memphis, Tennessee, in 1997, when he was just 30. Son of Tim Buckley, Jeff only released one album, Grace, a critical smash but a poor seller in the United States, which caused music industry execs to push him hard in an attempt to recoup their investment. Berg speaks to his mother, girlfriends and other close associates to build a picture of a complex, fragile, extraordinarily gifted young performer

Please note, for this screening the venue will be set out in a "relaxed summer screening" layout with large circular tables and chairs rather than the usual raked seating. This allows for a cooler and more comfortable environment, with more space and more room for drinks and snacks, and hopefully means we don't have to have as much fan noise potentially spoiling the film. Why not enjoy a bottle of wine with the movie?

Seating capacity is reduced with this layout. You can still book online to ensure your seat, but seats will be unallocated and you'll choose your table on arrival. Although if you have a particular seating request or any comments to make on this screening style, do email boxoffice@elycinema.org.uk in advance and we will see what we can do.
